Slide Keeping the mental health conversation going.

Resources

For people who have suicidal thoughts

If you need support right now, or know someone who does:

You don’t have to be feeling suicidal to speak to either – though if you are, they will support you.

For Children and Young People

Please explore assistance here for children and young people which covers more information about children’s mental health services as well as talking about how to support your child and how to find assistance.

Mental Health Emergencies

If you or they feel unable to keep themselves safe at any point, it should be considered a mental health emergency. If you or they feel like they might attempt suicide, or may seriously harm themselves, they need urgent medical help:

  • call 999 for an ambulance
  • take them straight to A&E
  • or call your local crisis team, if you have their number.

Extra Support from Mind:

See Mind’s pages on suicidal feelings and supporting someone who feels suicidal for more information and support.
