Keeping the mental health conversation going - Celebrating International Women’s day
In recognition of International Women’s Day, Eloise Hall, Strategic Partnership Director at e.surv, hosted a thoughtful and engaging discussion exploring the factors that influence women’s mental health and wellbeing within the mortgage and financial services sector.
Joined by Nicola Firth, Founder and CEO of Knowledge Bank, and Kath Stagg, Founder and Managing Director of Stagg Mortgage Services, the conversation brought together three experienced leaders who shared honest reflections on the pressures, expectations and opportunities facing women in the industry today.
The discussion explores the many influences on women’s mental health, including the challenge of balancing professional responsibilities with family life, the impact of imposter syndrome, and the importance of building supportive networks. Each speaker speaks candidly about their own experiences, highlighting how confidence, resilience and open conversations can help break down stigma and create healthier workplace cultures.
Eloise guided the conversation towards practical actions organisations and individuals can take to support women’s wellbeing — from encouraging open dialogue around mental health, to fostering inclusive cultures where people feel able to ask for help and be themselves at all times.
The discussion serves as a powerful reminder that while progress has been made, continued awareness, allyship and meaningful support are essential. By sharing experiences and encouraging honest conversations, the industry can continue to create environments where women feel empowered, supported and able to succeed both professionally and personally.
