New series of 'Keep the Conversation Going' videos launches with powerful first episode featuring Alice Hendy MBE of Ripple suicide prevention
Produced in association with the Mortgage Industry Mental Health Charter (MIMHC), the quarterly series brings senior industry voices into candid, face-to-face discussions about mental health and wellbeing—moving beyond surface-level commentary to explore personal experiences, pressure, leadership responsibility, and the coping strategies that sustain high performers.
The inaugural episode features Alice Hendy MBE in a deeply personal and thought-provoking conversation. Speaking with honesty and clarity, she reflects on the experiences that have shaped the creation of Ripple suicide prevention, the emotional realities of losing a sibling, and why creating space for open dialogue remains essential—not only across financial services, but within society..
Hosted by Jason Berry and Eloise Hall, Strategic Relationship Director at e-surv, the series is designed to humanise success within the mortgage sector and encourage a culture where vulnerability is recognised as strength rather than weakness.
Unlike traditional interviews, Keep the Conversation Going intentionally explores what sits behind job titles and boardroom confidence. The aim is simple but important: to help normalise conversations around mental health by hearing directly from respected leaders who are willing to speak openly.
With episodes releasing quarterly, the series will continue to spotlight influential figures from across the mortgage and specialist finance community—building momentum, sustaining dialogue, and reinforcing the industry’s commitment to wellbeing.
Jason Berry, Group Sales Director at Crystal Specialist Finance and Co-Founder, Mortgage Industry Mental Health Charter
“This series is about creating time and space for honest conversations that don’t usually happen in public. Alice’s openness reminds us that strength in leadership isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about being willing to talk even when tragedy strikes.”
Eloise Hall, Strategic Relationship Director, e.surv
“What makes these conversations so powerful is their authenticity. By going behind the curtain with leaders like Alice, we hope to normalise openness around mental health and show that vulnerability and success are not opposites—they coexist.”
(MIMHC) is a not-for-profit organisation that was founded to raise awareness of employees’ mental health and how the industry can take positive action to improve it.
MIMHC is made up of 7 co-founding firms plus over 250 signatory companies across the mortgage industry that represent over 20,000 individuals. All these firms agree to be bound by MIMHC’s 6 Governing Rules which apply best practice health and wellbeing guidelines and are summarised as ‘The MIMHC Charter’.
