MIMHC to launch initiative to train more than 100 mental health first aiders The Mortgage Industry Mental Health Charter (MIMHC) Foundation has announced a 2026 programme to train more than 100 accredited mental health first aiders (MHFA) across the industry. The initiative includes fully funded, two-day MHFA training sessions, with the first four scheduled to take place regionally from February 2026. The programme is being supported by the Niall Stringer Foundation, whose sponsorship has let MIMHC expand its training capacity. The Mortgage Industry Mental Health Charter (MIMHC) has formally become a not-for-profit foundation MIMHC was founded in 2021 and is dedicated to improving mental health and wellbeing in the mortgage industry. It offers support through research, education, collaboration and events that “supports signatories and industry partners to foster environments where people can thrive personally and professionally”. It currently has 253 member firms and a reach to over 25,000 individuals.
