MIMHC’s Walk & Talk 2026: An Incredible Achievement for Mental Health Awareness

MIMHC’s Walk & Talk 2026: An Incredible Achievement for Mental Health Awareness

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part in this year’s MIMHC Walk & Talk 2026 challenge.

Over six days, an incredible group of mortgage and property professionals came together to complete a demanding 141-mile walk from London to Birmingham along the Grand Union Canal, all in support of raising awareness for mental health and wellbeing across our industry.

What began as a physical challenge quickly became something much bigger — a powerful demonstration of what can happen when people make time to walk, talk and openly support one another.

From marathon-distance first days to cold starts, drizzle, wrong turns and tired legs, the challenge tested everyone involved. But throughout the journey, one thing remained constant: the willingness of people across the industry to show up, take part, and have honest conversations about mental health.

This event has always been about more than miles covered. It’s about breaking stigma, encouraging openness, and reminding people across the mortgage sector that support is available and that no one should suffer in silence.

To Jason Berry, Charles Morley, and every single participant who joined across the route, thank you. Your commitment, energy and openness helped make this another hugely meaningful MIMHC initiative.

To everyone who donated, supported, shared updates, or cheered walkers on along the way — thank you. Your backing helps keep these conversations moving forward.

Walk & Talk 2026 was a fantastic reminder that progress happens one conversation at a time.
